All beginners start on what is called the Practice Chanter.
This allows the beginner the chance to master basic fingerings, and embellishments before moving onto the mechanics of blowing, squeezing, tuning, maintenance of the full set of Great Highland Bagpipes.
They are also much less expensive an investment to begin with!
